Bernard Murphy, Ralph Trustees

Bernard Murphy is Group Managing Director of Ralph Trustees Ltd, a hospitality group that includes The Grove, The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences and The Runnymede on Thames. He spent 9 months as interim General Manager at The Athenaeum, before transitioning into the group role.  His previous experience includes Managing Director of The Gleneagles Hotel, and roles at Compass Group, The Royal Bank of Scotland and Intercontinental Hotels.  Bernard is passionate about helping individuals fulfil their potential through both academic learning and workplace based experience.  Bernard holds an MBA from Strathclyde University Graduate School of Business and is a member of the Board of the International Leadership School.  He is also Chairman of Connoisseurs Scotland, a marketing consortium for the best of Scottish luxury hospitality businesses, and a member of Scotland’s 2020 Climate Change Group.
