Financial Command: Strategic Finance for Hospitality Leaders , is drawn from Strathclyde Business Schools renowned MBA programme - equipping senior leaders with the financial insight required to make confident, informed, and strategically aligned decisions.

This programme provides an introduction to the principles of accounting and finance with a view to decision making. The complexity of financial decision making will be explored, and participants will learn to appreciate the nature of the assumptions that are implicit in the methods used in making financial decisions. You will be encouraged to collaborate and challenge your peers in arriving at team outcomes and consider how accounting information meets the needs of a wide range of stakeholders. By the end of this programme, participants will have acquired the ability to interpret key financial information and be able to make strategic recommendations for improvement in business performance.

Our ‘Financial Command’ programme is offered at one level:

  • Executive & Leadership       

o   A 2 day programme designed for those with overall responsibility for leading the organisation /  in senior strategic and decision-making roles

 Duration:                                  2-day programme

 Target Participants:     Designed for Executives and Leaders with financial responsibility for example; managing budgets, shaping investment decisions and / or overseeing functional performance.

 Prerequisites / Expected Experience:

This programme is designed for senior hospitality professionals in executive, leadership, or strategic management roles who have responsibility for business performance and decision-making.

Participants should:

  • Hold accountability for budgets, financial planning, or commercial outcomes within their organisation.

  • Have a general understanding of operational performance but may not have formal financial training.

  • Be interested in strengthening their ability to interpret financial information and make data-informed strategic decisions.

  • Be ready to engage in collaborative discussion, share insights, and apply financial principles to real-world business challenges.
