These scholarships help you to enhance your business skills.
Before applying, make sure you have read the scholarship description below, and the application guidance document (here). Please take note of what we ask you below to “tell us” in your application.
Please note - if you apply for a scholarship but don’t meet the criteria for it, you won’t be offered the chance of a different scholarship.
You can only apply for one scholarship.
You are not eligible if you took part in a scholarship that happened in 2025 or 2026.
Please make sure you have gained approval from a senior manager for your application.
All scholarship content specifics are subject to change. Any changes will be in keeping with the feel of the original scholarship idea.
Frank Mullen Bespoke
What: Bespoke and inspirational personal development. If you would like something that isn’t covered in the other scholarships, tell us here!
Where: Venues TBC.
When: 2027 dates to suit.
How long: Varies depending on the opportunity.
Who this is suitable for / criteria: Anyone currently working in or studying towards a career in Scottish hospitality! At all ages (over 18), all levels, for all roles.
Number of scholarships: Varies.
Tell us: In your application, tell us about your role, your responsibilities, and how long you have been with the company. Explain exactly what your learning request is, and how you believe this will help you and your company, and benefit the Scottish hospitality industry. Requests must be relevant to your career, and a beneficial learning experience.
What you will learn: You tell us! Frank Mullen was a leading innovator within Scottish tourism and this scholarship is open to all suggestions that will help you develop, and inspire and motivate you to be the best you can be. What do you need to see, to learn about or experience to help you be better at your job? What skills or knowledge are you missing that we haven’t covered in our other scholarships? What would be inspirational for you, that would help drive you and your business to the next level. We are open to all learning requests relevant to your career.
Structure: This is dependent on what you want to learn! It may be experiential, shadowing experts, visiting other venues, or classroom based. Or it may be a financial donation towards a larger experience. This opportunity is generally unique to you, but you may be part of another group.
